Sibling Support
Siblings of children with autism or developmental disabilities find themselves in a unique and pivotal role within their families. Siblings may feel overlooked or neglected and may feel as if they are secondary caregivers after their parents. This can be overwhelming and emotional for siblings as they navigate a family dynamic where a child with a disability requires support, attention, and specialized care.
Our program is designed to offer siblings the opportunity to connect with peers who share similar experiences. Sibling Support is meant to empower individuals, validating their fears, feelings, and concerns while giving them the proper tools to navigate the challenges of having a sibling with a disability.
