Purposeful Parenting

Graham Behavior Services provides the only comprehensive parent coaching program that pairs live workshops, online courses, group cohorts and customized parent support with the science of applied behavior analysis (ABA) to help families live their best lives.

Everyone takes childbirth classes. Everyone takes courses to help their child get into college. But what about everything in between?

We are bridging the huge gap in parent support during the crucial, formative time that sets the foundation for who your child will become. We give families the tools to teach their children to develop appropriate social and emotional behaviors. Let’s make that foundation strong so that your child can meet success with interpersonal relationships and social situations throughout life.

We want to build your parenting toolbox and help you troubleshoot potential problems using research based interventions. You will learn positive parenting techniques to help decrease problem behaviors and increase positive ones. The information presented in our Purposeful Parenting Program is based on the principles of applied behavior analysis and has over 50 years of research to support it. The strategies presented will:

Enable you to embrace the goals and values you have for yourself and your family

Empower you to make parenting decisions that respect your child

Rebuild your family relationships

Make parenting fun again

Some important caveats: If you have done everything we have recommended – the environment is super reinforcing during time in, your child understands the very few behaviors that will warrant a break, you have practiced the break procedure with them, AND your child is resisting going to the designated section OR you need to give more than 3-4 time outs per day – you need clinical consultation. There are different variations to this procedure and your mentor would be able to walk them through that or make a different clinical recommendation that is more customized to what your child needs. You should not be physically fighting your child to get him or her to get to the designated section.
